Firstly let me say that I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and not for any of the above I might add. Also the hotel does not charge five star luxury money.. I had read the previous comments before embarking on this holiday and I experienced some of the good and some of the bad points made previously.
They have a difficult job, as the hotel is populated by residents who are complete opposites, over 60's in powered chairs, pure golfers and golfers who enjoy the company of working ladies. The hotel is well located on the second row from the port and the rooms are of a good size. The outdoor pool has a good number of sun loungers and is large.
The BAD, the hotel is situated above a series of bars and what can only be called a brothel. The bars and brothel close at am. Music can be heard clearly all the way up to the 7th floor where my room was located and on the first floor where some of my party were located you can hear conversations clearly from the bars and brothel. The rooms as I have stated are spacious but are very tired and dated and sparse.
If your in here for the prostitutes and plan If your in here for the prostitutes and plan to be so intoxicated that loud music does not matter or if indeed you have the luxury of removing your hearing aid on an evening then this hotel is for you.. During the high golf season they close later than usual and it can get noisy which we only can apologize for. We hope to welcome you again at Luna Olympus in the near future and that everything will meet your expectations. I just arrived here yesterday, very nice service by the shuttledirect, I reached the Faro airport almost nobody was in the airport I was worried that I have to wait for the other customer for the shuttle to start, but after short 5 min waiting the shuttle took only me to this hotel.
