Arrived on the Wednesday 3 am in Kahama hotel after a trip by air from Niamey to Mombasa 24 h underway. My cash money was finished and I had to get money from the bank early in the morning. The reception told me that they received my booking but no money no room.
After a flight of 24H without sleeping that was all the reception said, my wife and I sat on a bench till the bank opened so I could pay the room. My job is to help developing countries to organise the Education system and people respect me for that. I am ashamed for these two girls at the Kahama Hotel in Mombasa refusing a room when we stayed in the same hotel for fourteen days in January I am asking myself who needs education?
If these young girls don't know how to show respect than something is wrong. October saw my husband and I stay at the Kahama hotel for the third time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The superior rooms are fantastic. They are large with air conditioning, a TV and a lovely en suite.
The pool is very clean and maintained every day. The entertainment and bar with kareoke is great entertainment. The fantastic, clean, white sanded beach is only 10 mins walk from the hotel. My husband and I love it and always have and always will return. Asante sana Kahama! Thank you very much in Swahili. I am a repeat visitor to Kahama and my only complaints are that the payment method can cause some headaches if you are not fully conversant with the system.
This time we were four who stayed in apartment 2 and I must say it was a lovely stay only blighted by there being one toilet between 4 and the inability of the key pass system to allow more than one key pass to the room, this meant many trips to the desk to get a new pass to override the previous one if someone was in the room but sleeping.
